3M Open Final Day Betting Preview And Odds Breakdown

BLAINE, Minn. — Golf bettors have their hands full on Sunday as it is the final day for the 3M Open. There is a full slate of head to head matchups leading all the way up until 1:00 p.m. EST when the final betting line between Michael Thompson and Richy Werenski closes.

As the 3M Open winds down, legal sports betting sites have odds for who is going to walk away as the winner. Michael Thompson is currently the slight favorite to win at +300 odds.

Thompson currently has the shortest odds for a reason. He is backing up those odds as he has had a strong outing in his recent tournaments as he has placed in three of his last four including an eighth-place finish at RBC Heritage.

Being that he has had the hot hand recently bettors should not shy away from betting on him.

Richy Werenski’s PGA odds follow close behind. Werenski is holding his own weight here as he is tied with Thompson at 15 under.

Being that he is tied for first place right now should be a good enough reason for bettors to take the chance and enjoy a decent payout if he pulls through.

Tony Finau is not far behind as his +350 odds are right up there. Finau was actually the favorite to win recently as he is just 13 under. Finau placed in three of his last four tournaments as well which also includes an eighth-place finish at The Memorial Tournament.

Bettors who want to take more of a risk could end up with a nice payout here if he overtakes first place.

Head To Heads

In the final head to head of the day, Michael Thompson and Richy Werenski will face off as they are both tied for first in the tournament. Both of these golfers have -110 odds to win against each other.

Werenski might have the upper hand here as he has four top-three finishes in his career.

“I think it’s an advantage— I feel really good this week, everything feels solid. There’s still a lot of golf left. I just kind of want to keep hanging around and hopefully something happens,” said Werenski about opening up today.

Being that Werenski has had the hot hand lately as he has crawled his way to tie with first, bettors should be able to sway his way.

Tony Finau is the heavy favorite to defeat Charl Schwartzel in their head to head match. Finau is sitting at -210 odds while Schwartzel is at +173.

There is no question as to why Finau is the heavy favorite here as he is ranked 32nd in the FedEx rankings and has 684 points in the FedEx cup thus far while Schwartzel is ranked way behind at 145 and has just 156 points.

Something else for bettors to factor in as they bet on Finau is that Schwartzel has been cut his last four outings while Finau is riding an eighth-place finish in his last tournament.
