- The Atlanta FaZe are the (-110) betting favorites to win the tournament despite being bounced early on in Major V.
- The Toronto Ultra (+300) and Minnesota ROKKR (+500) are the next best options on the betting board.
- Simp is favored for the Finals MVP with odds of (+225) but aBeZy (+400) and Bance (+5000) may be worth playing as well.
LOS ANGELES – The competitive Call of Duty season is set to wrap up this weekend as the League Championship runs through Sunday. For those that may be unaware, this is essentially the Super Bowl of Call of Duty and the tournament comes with a prize pool of $2.5 million.

- Atlanta FaZe -110
- Toronto Ultra +300
- Minnesota RØKKR +500
- Dallas Empire +600
- Chicago OpTic +700
- New York Subliners +2000
- Los Angeles Thieves +6600
- Florida Mutineers +10000
Which Team Will Win The Champs?
Despite there being five major tournaments throughout the season, at the end of the day, winning the Champs is far and away the most important accomplishment of the season. Regulated sports betting sites have a couple of teams favored in the field. These wagers can be found under the eSports category of any sportsbook.
Atlanta FaZe (-110)
The Atlanta FaZe have been the clear-cut best team in the league since the opening weekend. The team compiled a 34-7 record on the year during the season and won three of the five majors. All four players rank in the top 15 for K/D ratio and have Simp and Cellium who are two of the top three.
However, FaZe showed their first signs of mortality during the Stage V major where they were bounced in straight games against the Minnesota ROKKR and Seattle Surge. Major V was the first time of the season where the event was played on LAN with fans in attendance, which raises some concern when considering they may not be able to compete as well with an audience due to the added pressure.
Ultimately, FaZe has the advantage of knowing that when they play their best, nobody can beat them. If eSports betting fans were told they’d be able to get Atlanta at (-110) odds just a couple of weeks ago, they would have been ecstatic.
Toronto Ultra (+300)
The Toronto Ultra was able to win Major II and have remained one of the best teams in the CDL since that point. The team has finished top three in each of the last four Majors and was a part of the biggest comeback in CoD history their last time on the main stage together.
The Ultra are almost universally accepted as the second-best team but the question remains how the devastating loss previously incurred will impact their Championship weekend performance.
Minnesota ROKKR (+500)
The Minnesota ROKKR are the reigning Stage V champions after completing what’s being called the ROKKR Revival, ROKKR Resurrection, Ultra Reverse Sweep, along with many other things, but are likely not going to be able to repeat their magic for the champs.
Either Minnesota is truly peaking at the right time, or they had one good weekend and will return to the form that had them consistently placing in the middle of the pack. The latter is probably the more likely outcome.
Dallas Empire (+600) and OpTic Chicago (+700)
Both of these teams are arguably more talented than the Ultra or ROKKR, but are behind them on the odds boards due to their inconsistencies. Online sportsbooks are surely aware that the Dallas Empire has made the finals in two majors, but they also know how poorly the team can play on any given day.
OpTic Chicago is in a similar spot as Dallas in that there is a great amount of potential to be the best team in the league, but how many weeks and months need to go by without reaching it to admit that it’s just not meant to be.
Finals MVP Odds
The Finals MVP honors, like in the NBA, will go to the winning team which practically cuts down the field to just a few options. Some of these options have more intriguing odds than others.
CDL – Championship 2021 Finals MVP
- Simp (ATL) +225
- aBeZy (ATL) +400
- Cammy (TOR) +500
- Standy (MIN) +500
- Insight (TOR) +750
- Shotzzy (DAL) +750
- Envoy (CHI) +900
- Priestahh (MIN) +1000
- Scump (CHI) +1100
- Dashy (CHI) +1100
- Cellium (ATL) +1200
- Crimsix (DAL) +1600
- Arcitys (ATL) +2000
- CleanX (TOR) +2500
- Attach (MIN) +2500
- Vivid (DAL) +3300
- ILLeY (DAL) +4000
- Bance (TOR) +5000
aBeZy (+400)
As the entry-SMG on the best team in the league, aBeZy is one of the most important players in the league as he makes the rest of his team’s jobs much easier. He’s the only player on the team to not win a Player of the Stage award yet and if FaZe wins champs he could be the one in line to join the club.
Bance (+5000)
Bance was the Stage II Player of the Stage and as one of the better players in Toronto, it’s surprising to find him so far down on the odds board. Based on betting value alone, getting one of the better players on what’s thought to be the second-best team at (+5000) is worth a small investment.
