Ashton Jeanty NFL Draft Odds Preview

• There are -3500 odds for Ashton Jeanty to be the first running back drafted.
• The Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, & Las Vegas Raiders all have strengthened odds to draft Ashton Jeanty.

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The 2025 NFL Draft is just weeks away and there are still some questions surrounding certain players and their draft positions, especially running back, Ashton Jeanty.

Legal sports betting sites and the rest of the football world all know that Jeanty will be the first running back selected in the draft with his massive -3500 odds to be selected first in his position.

Jeanty currently paces all of the top running backs in the 2025 NFL Draft class in career rushing yards and touchdowns. He also led the country in his final season with career highs in rushing yards (2,601) and total touchdowns (30).

What Team Will Draft Ashton Jeanty?

Jeanty is a surefire top-20 pick in the draft this year and there are several teams drafting in that range to keep an eye on that could go with Jeanty as their first pick that have some serious value on NFL betting sites. They are the Las Vegas Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, and Denver Broncos

Las Vegas Raiders (-125)

The Raiders are favored being that they hold the sixth pick and are in desperate need of a running back. Their pick is higher than any other team that falls in the RB need in the first round. Vegas currently only has an injury prone and aging Raheem Mostert and Zamir White whom they were banking on a breakout season last season on their roster.

Jeanty would immediately slide into that starting role and become a workhorse back. He’d take on a similar role to what former Raiders RB Josh Jacobs had for the team with 230+ carries in four of his five seasons with the team. Jeanty is also coming off of a massive 374 carry season so this is nothing new to him and he’d fill a void that they desperately need.

Dallas Cowboys (+1000)

If the Raiders do not want to spend their sixth pick on Jeanty, we could very well see Jeanty in Jerry’s World playing for the Dallas Cowboys at the 12th pick. Dallas is in dire need of a true RB1 after posting just six rushing touchdowns as a team last season.

Jeanty would come in and completely change their running game which has been a multi-runner backfield for years and clearly not working to a one man show.

The only downside here is that Dallas hasn’t used their first pick to draft a running back since 2016 when they took Ezekiel Elliot. They also did sign both Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders in the offseason.

New Orleans Saints (+1300)

It is and has been the Alvin Kamara show in New Orleans for eight years. However, at 29 years old and almost a decade in the league under his belt, the Saints could look to preserve Kamara by taking Jeanty with the ninth pick. There isnt much behind Kamara on the depth chart so drafting Jeanty would also set up their ground game for years to come.

Denver Broncos (+3800)

Of all the names on this list, the Broncos are probably the best situation for Jeanty as they lost Javonte Williams to Dallas and are left with Jaleel McLaughin and Audric Estime in the backfield. Both who have limited starting experience going into the season.

The only thing holding them back from taking Jeanty is that their first pick in the draft comes at 20 and after all other teams in need of a running back.
