HOUSTON – With the Houston Astros starting their journey for the 2022-23 World Series title, Jim “Mattress Mack” Mclngvale has placed even money on the Astros, making his total wagered at $10 million. Mack started betting on the Astros to win the World Series back in the summer of 2022, placing up to $6 million by July.

From July to October, Mattress Mack’s wagers on the Astros have an average of 7.5/1 odds. The $10 million total placed on his local team would result in the largest payout in legal sports betting history at $75 million.

Mack was seen cheering on the Astros Tuesday evening during their game one ALDS win over the Mariners, with the Astros as the favorite to move on at Bovada to the ALCS, which would bring Mack one step closer to that record-breaking return.

Mack Elevates Mattress Promotions In Texas

While Mclngvale is no stranger to placing wagers that are a million dollars or more, the Mattress salesmen has always added some type of promotion that would allow his customers to receive free furniture if the bets hit.

For his Astros wagers for 2022, Mack decided to up the stakes by offering all of his customers their money back for a mattress purchase of $3,000 or more. Along with the free mattress, Mack is also offering the chance to double the purchase amount with a total of $10,000 for his customers for a limited time.
