DENVER – Colorado sports betting fans will now have another way to place action as popular Australian sportsbook PlayUp launches.
Colorado becomes the first US market for the popular sportsbook, which recently raised $12.5 million in private capital raise with the intent to enter the US market.
The sports betting operator does not plan to stop there, however, with its sights set to launch in the New Jersey sports betting market next.
PlayUp Meets USA Sports Betting
With sports betting in Colorado being a major market, PlayUp should see early success in its US endeavors.

PlayUp will offer its full-service betting operation to all players in the Centennial State. The betting lines will be Las Vegas-style and offer more options in the crowded Colorado sports betting market.
The sportsbook gains market access through the Bull Durham Saloon and Casino with a 10-year partnership. PlayUp launches just in time for March Madness betting as well, which will be a great way to see immediate activity on their mobile app.
PlayUp has been working to enter the US sports betting market for some time now. The company raised the capital last month in order to head to enter the US and is excited to start with Colorado.
“We are very pleased with the outcome of what has been a highly successful capital raising for the Company,” said Daniel Simic, PlayUp’s CEO. “We want to thank existing shareholders who participated in the Placement and welcome new investors to the register for the next stage of PlayUp’s growth, being our launch into the US market.”
The next legal sports betting PlayUp hopes to launch in is New Jersey. NJ is the biggest market in the country, and will be a major win for PlayUp should they gain market access.
PlayUp is an online-only sportsbook and expects to see a lot of action with the country currently in a state of social distancing. With Colorado being the first test, PlauUp could come out the gate swinging.
