- WrestleMania 37 is back and ready for sports bettors to lay down some money on the action.
- The two-day event for the WWE will take place with thousands of fans greenlit to attend.
- Bobby Lashley (+150) is the underdog in his fight against Drew McIntyre (-200) but The Rock is behind Lashley to bring home the “W”.
TAMPA, Fla. – WrestleMania 37 will be taking center ring on Saturday and Sunday at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and betting lines are open for the two-night occasion.
Originally, the WWE’s leading event was set to take place at the end of March in California but the Coronavirus Pandemic flare up on the west coast pushed both the date and location for all of the wrestling fun.
Betting On WrestleMania 37
Betting on the WWE is one of the more niche events to bet on, but it is most popular this time of the year. A number of events will be taking place over the course of the two-day WrestleMania action, leaving plenty of actual betting action to be had for sports bettors and fans of the sport.
Sportsbooks like BetOnline have betting lines open with odds on the scheduled matchups for gamblers to get in on while watching the literal take down of the wrestlers participating. This event will likely see plenty of betting take place as it happens only once a year in the WWE. In 2020, no spectators were allowed to attend WrestleMania 36 because of the outbreak of COVID-19 but fans will be in attendance for this one beginning Saturday.
Throwin’ Lines Out
With more states open nationwide that have regulated sports betting this year, WrestleMania is expected to see a lot more activity with sports bettors. Below are some of the top matchups raking in handle at sportsbooks for the annual WWE affair.
Bobby Lashley vs Drew McIntyre Odds
Bobby Lashley (+150) is coming in as the underdog against Drew McIntyre (-200). Lashley is 44 and the current WWE champion with 182 WWE wins, 9 draws, and 83 losses throughout his career with the organization. His age is a deterrent when going up against McIntyre who is nine years his junior and ready for a win. McIntyre has a WWE record of 178 wins and 415 losses.
The Rock is in Lashley’s corner tweeting: “Grab that brass ring and go for it all. You know what to do, champ.”
Braun Strowman vs Shane McMahon Odds
Braun Strowman is the heavy favorite to win with odds of (-500). Strowman has 220 WWE wins and 146 losses. Shane McMahon isn’t expected to put up much of a fight with odds of (+300) as a newcomer in comparison to Strowman with 25 wins and 26 losses to total his WWE career. Strowman will also be hard to beat not just because of experience but because he’s amped for the event and ready to win it.
“I can’t wait to see, hear and feel that energy,” said Strowman told the Sentinel on Thursday. “It’s been tough digging deep when your body’s tired and you don’t have that roar to help you push through. I’m not going to front for a second — when they’re there, it makes this job so easy.”
Cesaro vs Seth Rollins Odds
Cesaro is favored (-300) to beat Seth Rollins (+200) but Rollins is rumored to make Cesaro have to work for it. Because it’s WrestleMania 37, Cesaro hopes to get in at least 37 swings. Gearing up for the event, he’s decided on a new catchphrase for t-shirts that read “ Cesaro 360 [Says] I Just Swung Your A**.”
Rollins has a 50/50 record in wins and losses in the WWE with Cesaro having about the same. But Rollins is younger than Cesaro and might bring the heat for this matchup.
Back In Business!
The catchphrase for WrestleMania 37 is “Back In Business!” as fans will be able to attend once again after not being allowed to last year.
A multitude of fights and wagers will be seen over the weekend for the biggest event in wrestling each year. On both Saturday and Sunday, the fights begin at 8:00 p.m. EST and can be streamed on Peacock or through the WWE Network.
