Best 2021 World Series Game 2 Prop Betting Lines

• A run to be scored in the first inning has (-115) odds on both the “Yes” and “No”.

HOUSTON – As the Houston Astros host Game 2 of the World Series against the Atlanta Braves, many prop betting lines have intriguing odds attached to them.

A Run To Be Scored In The First Inning (-115)

The pitching matchup between Max Fried and Jose Urquidy should make for a fun battle throughout the game, but it’s very likely that one of them slips up early in the game. Legal sports betting sites are calling it 50/50, but the stats tell a different story.

Fried and Urquidy have been well below average in the opening frame this season. Fried has a 4.82 first-inning ERA while Urquidy has a 4.50. They also have a .287 and .263 batting average against, respectively, and will face opposing offenses that excel in the first inning.

Both teams were top 10 in runs scored per first inning with the Houston Astros averaging 0.60 runs and the Atlanta Braves averaging 0.67 runs per first inning.

Max Fried Strikeouts: OVER 4.5 (EVEN)

Fried isn’t the most prolific strikeout pitcher in the league, but he’s good enough to surpass his total and give anyone betting on the MLB a plus-money ticket.

Fried has punched out at least five batters in two of his three postseason outings as well as in 18 of his last 21 trips to the mound overall.

Due to Charlie Morton leaving the game early due to injury in Game 1, Atlanta was forced to use more bullpen pitchers than they probably would’ve liked. This could result in Fried having a longer leash in the game which, of course, gives him more opportunities to strike batters out.

Jose Altuve: Hits, Runs, RBI’s UNDER 2.5 (-125)

Jose Altuve hasn’t had the best postseason thus far. He’s hitting just .178 at the plate and is coming off of a game in which he was struck out three times. He has favorable odds to have yet another lackluster performance.

Altuve has gone OVER this number just twice in his last six games in the playoffs. He has four hitless games in his last six appearances, totaling 2-26 at the plate with four runs and one RBI coming on a solo home run.
