NEW YORK – The third round of the US Open brings some interesting matches with intriguing betting odds. The tournament is at the point where some of the top competitors are meeting one another.

Roberto Bautista-Agut Vs. Felix Auger-Aliassime

Roberto Bautista-Agut and Felix Auger-Aliassime will meet in the third round of the US Open on Friday morning. Bautista-Agut is 21st in the world rankings while Auger-Aliassime is 15th which leads to regulated sports betting sites listing this match as the closest one of the day.

Despite being so close in odds, the two may be trending in opposite directions. Auger-Aliassime is performing at a higher level than his career average this season as he’s winning 84% of his service games and 23% of his return games when he typically averages 82% and 20% in his career, respectively.

Frances Tiafoe and Andrey Rublev will clash in the third round of the US Open as the two promising 23-year-olds look to advance further along in the tournament. Those betting on tennis will find Rublev as a moderate favorite in the meeting.

Rublev has not looked spectacular thus far as three of his seven sets in the US Open have gone to a tie-break while Tiafoe has been relatively impressive. Sportsbooks may have set the line a little too generously for Tiafoe based on his recent performance, however, the talent discrepancy is likely larger than what the odds are exhibiting.

Diego Schwartzman Vs. Alex Molcan

Diego Schwartzman may be consistently the most undervalued bet in tennis. In his match against Alex Molcan, he is only favored by a handful of games despite it being arguably his easiest matchup of the tournament thus far.

Schwartzman beat Ricardas Berankis by eight games and Kevin Anderson by six games and could very easily beat Molcan by the biggest margin yet. Molcan is surviving off of his 40% win percentage on return games but when playing against someone like Schwartzman, it’s going to be tough to keep up that pace.
