Best NFL Week 5 Player Prop Bets: Rodgers, Patterson, Renfrow

• Aaron Rodgers has (-120) odds to have UNDER 24.0 completions against the Cincinnati Bengals.
• Cordarrelle Patterson has a (-125) betting line to have a 16+ -yard reception against the New York Jets.
• Hunter Renfrow is (-115) to have OVER 4.5 receptions against the Chicago Bears.

CINCINNATI – Those looking to bet on player props in the NFL should take a closer look at Aaron Rodgers, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Hunter Renfrow for Week 5.

Aaron Rodgers Pass Completions: UNDER 24.0

QB Aaron Rodgers has yet to complete more than 23 passes in a game this season and regulated betting sites have set his total at a number he hasn’t reached yet. Barring a season-best performance, the UNDER seems like a solid play to make by sports bettors.

The Green Bay Packers have been using their running game more often this season which has directly resulted in Rodgers’ lower completion numbers in 2021. Whether his totals are an anomaly or just the new norm is yet to be seen, but usually betting on someone to do something they have yet to do is not a good bet, especially at (-110) odds.

Cordarrelle Patterson Longest Reception: OVER 15.5 Yards

Cordarrelle Patterson has been one of the biggest surprises of the NFL season through four weeks and should be in line to continue his streak of impressive performances in Week 5. Both Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage will not play on Sunday which leaves a handful of targets to go elsewhere.

Patterson has had a catch of at least 16 yards in each of the last three weeks and should see the volume to do so again without some of the top options in the offense playing. NFL betting sites may be vastly underestimating Patterson’s role in the offense and his ability to continue making big plays.

Hunter Renfrow Receptions: Over 4.5

As mentioned with Rodgers, it’s not smart to bet on someone to do something they haven’t done. On the flip side, it’s usually beneficial to bet on someone to do something they’ve done in every game of the season. Hunter Renfrow falls into the latter category for his receptions total.

Renfrow has caught at least five passing in all four games this year and is currently second on the team in both receptions and targets behind only Darren Waller. He has a low floor, as he’s seen at least six targets in every game and has gotten up to nine targets as well.
