MELBOURNE – The 75th season of F1 takes place on Sunday with the Australian Grand Prix, and arguably the biggest storyline to start the season is Lewis Hamilton now racing for Ferrari after leaving Mercedes.

Hamilton is coming off of a disappointing 2024 campaign where he finished as the 7th ranked F1 driver which is a career low for him on just two first place finishes, 10 top-5 finishes, and 223 points. His two wins last season are also his only two wins in the last three seasons. The top-5 finishes and points total are the lowest in the last decade for Hamilton.

That said, a new team and a significantly better car than Mercedes, Hamilton could get off to a hot start and get back to his winning form.

Although Hamilton has the fifth shortest odds to win the race, other odds on F1 betting sites suggest that he could very well pull off a victory here.

Looking at his top-6 and top-10 odds, they are well under even at -500 and -1250 respectively. As a team, Ferrari has -250 odds for both drivers to finish in the top-6 with Charles Leclerc being the other driver, and +350 odds for both of them to finish top-3 which are the second shortest odds.

Ferrari also has the second shortest odds to be the winning car in the race at +225.
