BetMGM Partners With Edmonton Oilers Star Connor McDavid

• BetMGM signs a partnership with Edmonton Oilers star, Connor McDavid.
• Connor McDavid is the reigning MVP of the NHL.

EDMONTON, Canada – BetMGM has expanded their horizons into the Great White North, Canada, with a partnership deal making Connor McDavid their brand ambassador. McDavid is not only the captain of the Edmonton Oilers, but also the reigning MVP of the NHL.

With this deal, McDavid becomes the first active professional athlete amongst all four of the major sports leagues to become a brand ambassador of a legal sports betting site. With that, McDavid will be used in different marketing tactics, promotions, and in person events.

While BetMGM is not yet available in Canada, it is expected that they will be soon later on in April of 2022 so this deal with McDavid is already bringing hype around Canadian sports betting.

Canada Sports Betting Showing Life

Sports betting in Canada has been on the rise recently after Bill C-218 was pushed through in 2021. This is not the first sports betting partnership that has taken place on Canadian soil.

Just ahead of Super Bowl 56, Ontario’s Lottery and Gaming partnered with the NFL to offer different events and promotions all circulated around NFL betting.
