PINE BLUFF, Ark.BetSaracen has gone live in Arkansas this past week becoming just the second online sportsbook to launch in the Land of Opportunity.

The Arkansas online sportsbook was initially scheduled to launch back in March of 2022 prior to the men’s March Madness tournament, however, some backend complications with the App store and payment processors held them from launching then.

They legal online betting site is a direct partner of the Saracen Casino Resort that resides in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. As a part of their launch, they are offering their users $500 in free play to use on their new online platform.

BetSaracen is the second online sportsbook to launch in Arkansas behind Betly Sportsbook which launched its platform earlier in the year in April in partnership with the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.

Why Other Online Books Are Scared To Enter Arkansas

While sports betting did launch back in July of 2019, only three sportsbooks have launched their services in the state.

It is not because they have anything against going into Arkansas, but due to the state’s sports betting restrictions that require online operators to pay a whopping 51% tax on all their sports betting revenue on top of a $250,000 licensing fee.

With now two and potentially three online betting platforms though, state officials might have to look into changing their revenue share if bettors become unhappy with the betting options they have.

If they do not change their revenue split though and bettors do become unhappy, there are other licensed online sportsbooks such as Bovada and BetOnline that have been servicing Arkansas sports bettors for many years with terrific online betting platforms.
