Big 12, ACC Champion Odds Outlook: Clemson, Oklahoma On Top

• The Big 12 and the ACC will start their 2020 football season on Saturday
• There will be multiple top tier teams returning to action including No. 1 Clemson and No.5 Oklahoma, who each has the closest odds to win their conferences again this year.
• There are many COVID-19 protocols that will be set for the start of the season to hopefully slow the spread of the virus.

IRVING, Texas – The first week of Power Five College football starts on Saturday for two conferences and though the future of the season is uncertain many are simply excited to be able to watch NCAA football.

The ACC and the Big 12 are set for action to start what is sure to be a very intreating season, to say the least. Even at this time, there is no clear answer to what the playoffs will look like or what bowl eligibility means to any team.

Everyone is holding their breath for fear of the entire season crumbling down but for the time being, college football fans can get excited to see Saturday football.

There are many top 25 teams and popular matchups in these conferences that will play in this week one of college football including the No.1 team and defending ACC Champions Clemson Tigers facing off against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

The defending Big 12 champion No. 5 Oklahoma Sooners will also kick things off against Missouri State Tigers, No. 10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish will play Duke Blue Devils, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will be up against Florida State Seminoles, and No.18 North Carolina Tar Heels battling Syracuse Orange.

With these games, this will be the first look at the teams that legal sports betting sites expect to finish on top of each conference.

COVID-19 Protocols For The Season

Before teams can get to the championship, they will have to successfully make it through the regular season and there will be many coronavirus protocols put in place to keep everyone involved safe.

Some of the protocols include adding 20 yards to the original team area on the sidelines to promote social distancing, players will wear medical cloth mask under the eye shield area of the helmet, and only one caption from each team will be present for the coin toss in the middle of the field. All officials will wear use electric whistles, wear masks, and get tested for coronavirus weekly.

The SEC is the last of the Power Five conferences that have plans to start the season this semester and the start of those conference-only games are set for September 26.
