This year is no different, as projections for the expectations of the game began as soon as the two teams were set.

Those two teams are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs, led by legendary quarterbacks of consecutive generations in 6-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady, and defending Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes.

Naturally, these two offenses have been highly touted all season and are once again being propped up before the Super Bowl.

Currently, the legal online sportsbooks have the game set at an over/under of 56.6 points, which would be a rather high scoring affair.

Additionally, sportsbooks are offering numerous props for things like touchdowns scored, and offense in general.

Putting the line at 6.5 touchdowns would be around 45 points, which with a few field goals, could easily eclipse the line of 56.5 total points.

Bettors comparing the two lines should decide if there is better value on a bet like this that deals strictly with touchdowns.

Or, a savvy Super Bowl betting tip could take a touchdown prop for each individual team.

Betting on the Chiefs to score four touchdowns is right around their average for the season.

Against a stout defense like Tampa’s, it isn’t crazy to think that Mahomes and company might have some trouble moving the ball, at least compared to the rest of the league.

The same line for the Bucs is also available, with some heavily skewed odds.

When looking at the Bucs, Brady hasn’t exactly been the most efficient quarterback. It is actually the Tampa defense that has been shutting down the opposition to the tune of 22.2 points per game.

Paying the -170 for Brady to score three touchdowns isn’t the worst idea, but those planning on betting on the Super Bowl should be warned of a potential offensive letdown.

Just two years ago in 2019, two high powered offenses entered the Super Bowl in the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams ready to light up the score. As most know, that game ended 13-3 in a complete defensive stalemate for much of the game.
