Break The Book: A Weekend Of NASCAR Racing, UFC, College Football

KANSAS CITY – Sports bettors across the spectrum will have their hands full this weekend as there are sports betting events all across the board. Some of the biggest sports betting events this weekend are coming in NASCAR in the Xfinity Series, Cup Series, and Truck Series.

There are also big events in the UFC with Chan Sung Jung and Brian Ortega highlighting UFC Fight Night this weekend. There is also a heavyweight matchup in the SEC as well with Alabama taking on Georgia.

As for the Xfinity Series, that will take place later on in the day as it takes place on Saturday at 7:15 p.m. EST. Austin Cindric is going into the race at the top of the odds board with +225 odds.

Cindric and Chase Briscoe should be considered neck and neck going into the race as they are separated by just 10 points on the leaderboards with Briscoe leading at 3060 points while Cindric is sitting at 3050.

In the Cup Series, this is where NASCAR bettors should really be placing their money. Kevin Harvick leads the Hollywood Casino 400 odds board with +300 odds.

Harvick is the clear favorite here as he has led the Cup Series all season long. He leads across the board in points (4067), wins (9), top-5 finishes (19) and top-10 finishes (25).

UFC Fight Night: Ortega vs. Sung Jung

In the UFC this weekend, Brian Ortego and Chan Sung Jung will main event UFC Fight Night from the Flash Forum on Fight Island.

Sung Jung is seen as the favorite here being that he has fought more recently and has won his last two while Ortega hasn’t fought in almost two years and is coming off of a loss.

Still, Sung Jung has first-round knockout power, indicating UFC betting fans can entertain themselves with many other bets.

The fight is expected to land in Sung Jung’s favor but those taking a first-round victory (for either fighter) will be met with +240 odds.

Sung Jung is believed to care of business though in this 9:15 p.m. ET fight, as his odds to win inside the distance sit at -105.

Georgia Vs. Alabama College Football

In this two vs. three matchup, the main storyline isn’t even between the players on the field but the coach on the sideline. Initially, set for a Kirby Smart vs Nick Saban matchup, Saban tested positive for COVID earlier in the week.

After two negative tests for Saban, he is a third away from taking the field on Saturday.

Before the announcement that Saban would be leaving the facility, Bama was 6.5-point favorites, sitting at -220 on the moneyline.

During the week, the line dropped to -4.5 and -165, giving college football bettors who paid attention quite the advantage. The line has moved back to 6.5 points, as Saban is expected to coach, leaving many with the ability to middle, hedge, or simply beat the book.
