- The Indiana Hoosiers are 0-4 ATS the previous four times they’ve traveled to play the Wisconsin Badgers.
- After drafting the Alabama Crimson Tide last season, the LSU Tigers find themselves as 29.5 point underdogs on the spread this season.
- The Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans have seen the Over hit in six of their last seven meetings.
BATON ROUGE, La. – Those looking to bet on football this weekend have great matchups to look forward to for both college and the NFL. However, those looking to gain an edge can do so by studying the stats and trends for the teams playing.
Some of the biggest matchups in Week 14 of the college football season include the Indiana Hoosiers vs. the Wisconsin Badgers. Later in the day, bettors will finally have the opportunity to watch the LSU Tigers take on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Over on the pros side, the biggest matchup of the day happens to be one of the earliest. The Tennessee Titans take on the Cleveland Browns in what could be a pivotal game when taking into account AFC Playoff seeding.
Indiana Hoosiers vs. Wisconsin Badgers Odds
- Moneyline: Wisconsin (-550) Indiana (+375)
- Spread: Wisconsin -13
- O/U: 45
The Indiana Hoosiers enter this matchup ranked 12th in the country while the Badgers aren’t far behind ranked at 16. But, looking at the rankings alone doesn’t give a clear picture for this matchup.
The biggest reason the Badgers are favored so heavily in this matchup is due in part to the Hoosiers QB Michael Penix Jr being off the field.

Penix Jr. left the game against the Maryland Terrapins with a torn ACL, effectively ruling him out of the season. Penix Jr. finished the season with 1,645 yards, 14 TDs, and four interceptions.
The Hoosiers offense ran through Penix’s ability to run and make plays. Without him on the field, it makes some of the trends harder to judge.
The Hoosiers have virtually every ATS trend on their side. They’re 4-0 against the spread in their last four matchups as an underdog. They’re also 6-0 ATS in their last six Big Ten games. They are even 7-0 in their last seven games when playing as an underdog on the road.
But, the Hoosiers are 0-5 ATS in their last five meetings against the Badgers. With this in mind, taking an alternate spread could be the best move.
Those inclined to bet on the Indiana Hoosiers can get them at +10.5 for +115 odds when using Bovada.
Alabama Crimson Tide vs. LSU Tigers Odds
- Moneyline: Alabama (-4100) LSU (+1225)
- Spread: Alabama -29.5
- O/U: 65
One of the biggest rivalries in college football features some of the most lopsided odds in the history of the rivalry.
LSU’s championship hangover has been brutal to watch and would make any Tigers fan throw up. The LSU defense ranks 96 in the nation in total defense.
On the other side, the Alabama offense has been as explosive as it’s ever been. The Crimson Tide rank fifth in the nation in total offense. The giant spread and wide moneyline is the result of these two metrics.
The question for this matchup isn’t necessarily who is going to win, it is “how much is Alabama going to win by.” However, instead of betting on the spread, CFB bettors can find better odds on the Winning Margin props.
Alabama has +600 odds to win by 19-24 points, +475 odds to win by 25-30, +400 odds to win by 31-36 points, and +550 odds to win by 37-42 odds. Other odds are available for additional winning margins but these are the most favored results by CFB betting sites.
Tennessee Titans vs. Cleveland Browns Odds
- Moneyline: Tennessee ( -260) Cleveland (+215)
- Spread: Tennessee -5.5
- O/U: 53
The Titans and Browns matchup could potentially be a sneak peek into the AFC playoffs, depending on how seeding plays out.
The Titans are coming off of a statement win against the Indianapolis Colts while the Browns are coming in having barely scraped by the 1-10 Jacksonville Jaguars. However, both teams were able to put up points and that’s to be expected the case again.
The Over is 6-1 the last seven times these teams have played against each other. The Titans are also coming into the game 6-1-1 in their last eight games against a team with a winning record. With that in mind, taking an alternate Over/Under at an NFL betting site could be the best play.
The current O/U is set at 53 but taking the Over for 55.5 points has odds of +115. The Over for 56 points has odds of +120.
The Titans are averaging 29.5 points per game which is fifth in the league. The Browns on the other hand are averaging 24.1 points per game which is 18th in the league. The alternate O/U would be slightly above what both teams are averaging, but given how these teams have been performing its not out of the realm of possibilities.
