Browns Look To Keep Lamar Jackson Player Props In Check

• Lamar Jackson has (-115) odds on both sides of his 230.5 passing yards player prop.
• Jackson’s UNDER 1.5 passing touchdowns is favored with a (-150) betting line.
• His passing completions total is set at 19.5 with (-130) odds on the OVER.

CLEVELAND – Lamar Jackson may struggle against the Cleveland Browns in Week 13 which leaves value on the UNDER for many of his player props.

Lamar Jackson Passing Yards Total: O/U 230.5

An important thing to know about this matchup and maybe the biggest reason as to why Jackson’s UNDERs are carrying value in this matchup is that this is the second game in a row that the Browns are facing the Baltimore Ravens. Cleveland played them in Week 12, had a BYE week, and now play them again.

Legal sports betting sites have the totals set rather high to begin with, but surely aren’t taking into account that the last quarterback the Browns saw was Jackson and they’ve had two straight weeks to go over film and learn his tendencies.

Cleveland has the eighth-best pass defense in the NFL and allows just 210.3 passing yards per game this season. Plus, Jackson had just 165 passing yards in their first meeting two weeks ago.

Simply put, Jackson doesn’t throw for many passing touchdowns. He’s had less than two in nine of his 11 games this year and has fairly favorable odds to fall short once again.

Jackson has fallen short of this mark in three straight outings and in five of his last six games overall. As a matter of fact, the only games in which he has gone OVER the set number is games in which the Ravens went into overtime.

Lamar Jackson Passing Completions: O/U 19.5

If there is an OVER to take on NFL betting sites, it’s probably on Jackson’s passing completion total. He’s had at least 20 completions in four straight weeks and eclipsed the total in his last game against the Browns as well.

This prop ultimately comes down to volume. He fell short of this number three straight times to start the season and has averaged just 28.8 passing attempts in the five games he fell short of this number. On the other hand, he’s averaged 40.5 pass attempts in the games in which he’d gone OVER the set total.

This bet seems more of a 50/50 than some of the others, relying more on game script and play-calling than anything else. The game will begin at 1 p.m. EST on Sunday and can be seen on CBS.
