MILWAUKEE – The NBA Playoffs are right around the corner and many eyes have been on both the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns being that both of them are favored to win their respective conferences. If they both were to win it would be a rematch of the 2021 NBA Finals.

However, although both teams are favored to meet again in the NBA Finals, there are different teams in each conference whose odds on legal online sportsbooks could match up well with them and not allow a rematch to happen.

Starting with the Brooklyn Nets, they match up well with the Bucks in terms of star players as they have Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

On defense though, they are dead even as they both allow 112 ppg. It is also worth noting that while Milwaukee has gone 3-1 against Brooklyn in the regular season, they have only played Brooklyn with Kyrie Irving once.

That said, they have not gotten a good look at what this Nets team can really do when at full strength and could be unprepared if they face off.

The Miami Heat are another Eastern Conference team that could ruin a rematch. Not just because they are the top seed in the conference, but because they split the season series 2-2 and two of those games finished within a ten-point margin.

The Heat do have what it takes to shut them down on defense which is something they have done to opponents all season which has led them to the third-best in the league. They only allow 105.3 ppg. Miami also has the rebound and assist advantage over Milwaukee this season.

In the Western Conference NBA odds, while it might not look like there is much competition, two teams to keep an eye on that could spoil the Suns’ run are the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks.

The Warriors have the Suns evenly matched and some might even argue that they have a slight advantage. In the four games they’ve played this season, the series went 2-2.

However, in the Suns’ wins over the Warriors, they were close kept games by single-digit margins. In the Warriors’ wins, they put up 110+ points in each game. The Warriors also sit well ahead of Phoenix on defense which is surprising considering many don’t see them as a defensive team.

As for the Dallas Mavericks, this could be considered a darkhorse team to knock off Phoenix. Even though Phoenix went 3-0 against them this season, their games were all decided within 8 points. Dallas has also been one of the best defenses in the league this season allowing the second-lowest points of any team at 104.9 ppg.
