Can Team USA Gymnastics Finally Get A Trampoline Gold?

The favorite for Gold is China’s Liu Lingling, a four-time World Champion in trampoline who is making her Olympic debut at the age of 26.

A bet on Ashinger has tremendous value, as her performance on the international stage is unknown. She could perform far ahead of her expected result based on her Olympic betting odds.

It is rare that a Team USA gymnast finds themselves so far down the betting lineup, but the trampoline event has never been one for the Americans. Having failed to medal in this Olympic gymnastic event, Chinese gymnasts (with the help of Huang Shanshan, He Wenna, and Li Dan) have collected five medals since 2000, including one gold in 2008.
