- The Tampa Bay Rays are +350 odds to win the World Series.
- The Los Angeles Dodgers are favored (-170) to win Game 4.
ARLINGTON, Texas – After a Game 3 showing that saw 13 strikeouts against them, the Tampa Bay Rays come into Game 4 down 2-1 in the World Series.
Brandon Lowe struck out three times and batters 3-6 all had at least two to their name, removing any real attempt from the Rays.
Add in the fact that Charlie Morton allowed 5 runs in 4.1 innings and it’s easy to see why the Rays collapsed in Game 3.
Positives did hit the clubhouse as Randy Arozarena potentially built some momentum in the ninth, hitting a two-out home run before the game’s ending.
The Rays rookie is now breaking many records in the postseason and quietly building a great starting resume.
However, the online sportsbooks are seeing it differently.
World Series Betting Odds
- TB Rays +350
- LA Dodgers -500
While the World Series odds are certainly inflated from the lead by the previously -200 favored Dodgers, the Rays aren’t looking solid on the Game 4 betting line either.
Even with standard odds on the run line, the Rays are against all odds.
World Series Game 4 Betting Lines
- Moneyline: LAD (-170) vs. TB (+145)
- Runline: Dodgers -1.5 (-110)
- Total: 8 runs
Julio UrĂas and Ryan Yarbrough will get the nod for Game 4 which begins at 8:08 p.m. ET on FOX.
Yarbrough has already seen action in the World Series, providing fifth-inning help during Game 1 but should be unaffected by the two-thirds inning workload.
As for Urias, he pitched three innings in Game 7 (all scoreless) of the NLCS and has thrown for 10 innings in the last 2 weeks.
Without any injuries of note, the World Series is shaping up to be a runaway for the Dodgers, unless the bats of Los Angeles subside or the pitching of Tampa Bay increase.
Either way, the next MLB betting opportunity comes on Saturday wth Game 4.
