Century Casino Approved for Colorado Sports Betting Licenses

• Colorado’s Gaming Commission approved three sports betting master licenses for the Century Casino company.

DENVER — The State of Colorado approved three betting licenses of the Century Casino company during a special meeting of the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission on April 2, 2020, according to a press release from the company.

Century Casino, as well as their partner company Circa Sports Colorado LLC, were awarded a total of three master licenses to operate sports betting in Colorado. Circa Sports was also approved for a temporary internet sports betting operator license and is expected to meet the legal launch date of May 1. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the launch date could still be postponed much like everything else in the sports world.

Bettors in Colorado should keep an eye out as these regulatory moves are going to provide them with another option to bet on sports. Furthermore, even more companies should start getting involved in the legal sports betting market in Colorado. With teams like the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos being the state’s biggest sports teams, fans alike would more than likely place bets on their favorite team.

Of the three master licenses given to Century Casino, one of them has two remaining and is in negotiations with companies to acquire a sports betting license. As time passes expect Century Casino to reach another agreement with a partner to bring residents of Colorado more options to place bets with.
