CHICAGO – Circa Sports officially launched their sportsbook in Illinois on Friday. Bettors can use Circa Sports through their mobile app or retail location at American Place Casino.
The Las Vegas-based sportsbook now adds Illinois to their live legal sports betting states catalog of Colorado, Iowa, and Nevada. Circa Sports is licensed in Kentucky but has yet to launch in the Bluegrass State.
Circa Sports is the eighth mobile operator to offer mobile sports betting in Illinois. They’re the first online sportsbook to be added to the Illinois sports betting options list since BetMGM joined in March of 2022.
Jeffrey Benson, Director of Operations of Circa Sports, said on Twitter Thursday “We’ve finally crossed the finish line and been given the green light to go live.”
They didn’t send me across country to sightsee in the windy city of Chicago. I’m not a leisure guy, its all business. We’ve finally crossed the finish line and been given the green light to go live. We’ll be operational at @AmericanPlaceIL & on the mobile app at Noon CT tomorrow! https://t.co/IFBh4lIy3I pic.twitter.com/fQyftVx4i7

Circa sports is operational at American Palace Casino and on the Circa Sports mobile app. Circa’s first brick-and-mortar sportsbook outside of Las Vegas offers 12 self-service kiosks and three betting windows.
Circa Sports Is Kentucky’s 8th Licensed Operator, Launch TBD
Now that Circa Sports is officially live in Illinois, the next step is launching in their remaining licensed state. Kentucky added Circa sports as their eight licensed sportsbook through their partnership with ECL Corbin, LLC.
Circa Sports offers a unique sportsbook that neighboring states like Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Indiana don’t have access too. The desirable odds on Circa Sports could convince those states’ residents to drive to Kentucky to make a bet.
Circa Sports or Kentucky haven’t set an official launch date for the online sportsbook to operate in Kentucky. Thursday marked the official launch of online Kentucky sports betting after retail launched on Sept. 7.
Circa Sports will operate their legal online sportsbook through Cumberland Run and The Mint Gaming Hall Cumberland but have no plans to open a brick-and-mortar location at this point.
