College Football Week 6: Four Ranked Matchups And Their Odds

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The sixth week of college football has four ranked matchups headlined by a top-five matchup between the Iowa Hawkeyes and Penn State Nittany Lions.

No. 4 Penn State Vs. No. 3 Iowa Hawkeyes

The Iowa Hawkeyes will look to continue their strong season while hosting the Penn State Nittany Lions. These are the two top-ranked Big Ten teams in the country and regulated sports betting sites favor the home team by a small margin.

Iowa hasn’t found much success against Penn State as of late, having won just one of the last seven head-to-head meetings and losing each of the last three matchups at home. It should be a close game as both teams are within the top-three scoring defenses in the country.

The Auburn Tigers were underdogs to the unranked LSU Tigers last week and while they managed to escape with a win, that’s unlikely to be the case this time around.

The Bulldogs have simply looked too good to bet against as they’ve outscored opponents 99-0 over the last two weeks. Auburn is in line for a rough 60 minutes of football on Saturday.

No. 13 Arkansas Razorbacks Vs. No. 17 Ole Miss Rebels

The Ole Miss Rebels are coming off of a crushing loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide and will now be faced with the Arkansas Razorbacks, who just got badly beaten by Georgia. As the two have established they’re not on the same level as the SEC’s best, this could be the game that determines who’s the No. 3 team in the conference.

The Ole Miss offense will likely be the deciding factor of the game as they’re the fifth-best team in the country with an average of 44.8 points per game. The Arkansas defense just got torched for 37 points a week ago and could be in line for a similar result this week.
