COVID-19 Causes NFL Schedule Changes And Line Movement

• The Cleveland Browns are 2-point favorites over the Las Vegas Raiders.
• Washington Football Team has -115 odds to cover a 7.5-point spread on the Philadelphia Eagles.
• The Los Angeles Rams are 6.5-point favorites to beat the Seattle Seahawks.

CLEVELAND – COVID-19 has hit the NFL in stride with over 100 positive cases in the last week and has forced even more players to enter health and safety protocols. With different teams being hit hard, it has forced the NFL to postpone games.

The matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders has moved from Saturday to Monday at 5 p.m. EST. The Sunday afternoon matchup between the Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles has moved to Tuesday as well as the matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks.

Cleveland Browns Vs. Las Vegas Raiders

This matchup was moved due to the Browns having over 20 players enter the COVID-10/Reserved list. Key players that are on the Browns the COVID-19 list include Baker Mayfield, Case Keenum, Kareem Hunt, Jarvis Landry, Austin Hooper, and many more.

With that, legal online betting sites have not stayed still with the lines for this game. The Browns originally opened up the game as 6.5-point favorites when they were fully healthy. When the news broke about their players getting COVID, they dropped to 3.5-point underdogs.

With the game postponed though, it gives the Browns a chance at returning some players from the COVID list which has shifted the Browns NFL odds back to favorites but this time at 2 points.

Philadelphia Eagles Vs. Washington Football Team

Washington has also been hit hard by COVID-19 as they have 21 players on their list including their starting and backup quarterbacks, Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen. They will also be without important defensive players in Jonathan Allen, Montez Sweat, and Kendall Fuller.

The line for this game has also had a field day after Washington was just a slight 2.5-point underdog and moved way down to a 12-point underdog. They have since shifted back down to a 7.5-point underdog.

The Eagles will certainly look to take advantage of Washington’s shorthand in this one and cover the spread for the fourth time in five games.

Los Angeles Rams Vs. Seattle Seahawks

Of these three teams that have been hit hard by COVID, the Rams have the most players on their list with a whopping 29 players. This includes their starting running back, Darrell Henderson, tight end Tyler Higbee, receiver Odell Beckham Jr., defensive back Jalen Ramsey, and linebacker Von Miller.

The Rams spread has also seen a bit of movement as well. LA opened up as 7-point favorites and with the COVID news, they shifted down to a 4-point favorite. After their game was pushed to Tuesday, they shifted back up to a 6.5-point favorite.

If the Rams can return some of their key players ahead of the game, they could take advantage of a struggling Seahawks team that has gone 2-3 ATS in their last five games.
