Creighton’s March Madness Odds: Can They Break Into Elite 8?

• Creighton has +3500 odds to win March Madness in their fifth straight appearance.

OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton has been one of the more consistent teams to make it to March Madness in recent seasons with nine appearances since the 2010-2011 season when head coach Greg McDermott took over.

They’ve also put up a nice resume in those nine appearances with six Sweet 16 runs and a run to the Elite 8. In their last four appearances, three have gone to the Sweet 16.

Going into this year’s March Madness, legal sports betting sites have them listed at +10000 odds to win the National Championship and +2200 to make it to the Final Four.

Unfortunately, each of Creighton’s last three Sweet 16 go arounds have all come when they went into the tournament with less than +5000 odds. The last time they went in with odds of +10000 or higher, they were eliminated in the second round.

This season, on a game by game basis, the Blue Jays have been one of the top teams in the country against the spread at 18-11-2 and averaging a +6.4 winning margin over their opponents.
