Forty race car drivers will be getting behind the wheel for the chance at winning the title and a $23.6 million purse but these are the drivers sports bettors should watch.

Who To Watch

The kickoff to the 2020 NASCAR Cup season begins with the Daytona 500. Number one on the list of drivers to bet on is none other than Denny Hamlin, 39, and the winner of last year’s Daytona 500. Appearing at Daytona 28 times, he has been in the top ten almost one-third of the time over 15 years. His first win at Daytona came in 2016 and his last win was in 2019. The odds-on Hamlin are (10/1) to win back to back titles.

Brad Keselowski, 36, drives in as part of the tied quadruple team of winning the race at (10/1). Keselowski is a top contender with a record of 30 wins and 186 top ten placements in the NASCAR Cup Series in his 12 years of Cup Race experience. He often gets fined by NASCAR for posting photos from his races to his social media accounts.

The Infamous Kyle Busch, 34, (10/1) is listed in the foursome to win at Daytona. During his NASCAR career, Busch has had 56 total wins and 296 top ten placements for the Cup Series over the course of 16 years. His latest win was at the 2019 Ford Ecoboost 400 in Homestead.

Driver Joey Logano, 29, is a favorite to win, having won the Daytona in 2015. In his 12-year career with NASCAR Cup Series racing, he has won 23 titles and finished in the top ten on 200 separate occasions for the Cup Series. He has odds of (10/1) to win.

The fifth and sixth drivers to watch for the Daytona 500 are tied with the same odds which is why there are six drivers to bet on rather than a top five.

Chase Elliot and Kevin Harvick both have (12/1) odds of winning at Daytona. Elliot, 24, has won six NASCAR Cup Series and finished in the top ten 74 times in five years of racing in the series. Harvick, 44, has been racing in the Cup Series for 19 years and has obtained 49 wins and 362 top ten placements in that time.

All of these drivers are more than qualified to take home the 2020 Daytona 500 title and the millions of dollars in prize money. It’ll come down to who races smart, which means fast and safely. All have favorable odds by sportsbooks to win. The races begin Sunday, at 12: 40 p.m. EST and will be aired on the FOX Network.
