- DeAndre Hopkins’ odds are set at -110 for a receiving yard total of 65.
- The Green Bay Packers have allowed four receivers to go over 65 yards this season.
PHOENIX – The Arizona Cardinals are 6.5-point favorites over the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football. In addition to betting on the game lines, there are also player prop odds to monitor including DeAndre Hopkins receiving yard total.
Total Receiving Yards – DeAndre Hopkins
- Over 65 -115
- Under 65 -115
While some might remain cautious with Hopkins’ total, it could also be argued that legal online betting sites have set the line too low. Backing up the Over, Hopkins is currently the leading receiver on a loaded Cardinals receiving core that has four receivers with 300+ yards. He has seen a team-leading 47 targets for 33 receptions, 420 yards and is averaging 12.7 yards per catch.
Hopkins does most of his work lining up to the left of Kyler Murray with over 60% of his receptions have come from the left side. In the three games that he has gone Over this season, his longest receptions have all come from lining up on the left.
Looking at how the Packers have done at defending opposing receivers, they have allowed four receivers to go Over 65 yards this season including Terry McLaurin (122 yards), Ja’Marr Chase (159 yards), Diontae Johnson (92 yards), and Deonte Harris (72 yards).
- In Week 4, Diontae Johnson saw six of his nine receptions come on the left side with all six of them going for 5+ receiving yards.
- In Week 5, Ja’Marr Chase split his six receptions with three on each side. However, his longest reception of the day (70 yards) came from lining up on the left side.
- In Week 7, Terry McLaurin saw four of his seven receptions come on the right side. Similar to Ja’Marr Chase though, his longest reception of the day (40 yards) came from the left.
Green Bay’s leading defensive back, Jaire Alexander, was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury in Week 4 and there has been no answer on if he will return or not. The Packers right side cornerback, Kevin King is listed as questionable with a shoulder and back injury as well.
With potentially two starting defensive backs not suiting up, Hopkins could have a delightful Thursday night.
DeAndre Hopkins Anytime Touchdown Odds
- DeAndre Hopkins +110
D. Hop has seven touchdowns on the season with four of them coming in the last three weeks. Not only does Hopkins lead the Cards in targets overall, but he leads in redzone targets as well with 11. He is targeted 29.7% of the time in the redzone and has completed 7-11 targets (63.64%) within the 20-yard line.
In fact, all seven of his touchdowns this season have come from the redzone.
The Packers have let up at least one receiving touchdown in every game so far and Hopkins could very well add to that and cash his NFL player props.
