BOSTON – On Thursday, DraftKings announced an agreement with Turner Sports to make the gaming company the exclusive sportsbook and daily fantasy sports provider for the industry-leading sports content network.
The multi-year deal between the two firms will allow DraftKings to provide its data and content to select Turner Sports and Bleacher Report programming not including any NBA properties.
“Regulated betting is quickly becoming a fixture of modern sports entertainment, and this collaboration with Turner Sports further scales the reach of our products and content to engage fans,” said Ezra Kucharz, Chief Business Officer, DraftKings. “Turner Sports platforms provide exceptional content as they continually captivate sports audiences. Their medium aligns with the DraftKings’ brand and we look forward to delivering a seamless experience for readers and viewers while also broadening our visibility.”
The Turner Sports telecasts, Bleacher Report digital channels, and B/R app will now be equipped with DraftKings daily fantasy sports content and sports betting information.
This deal outlines that the network will add customs content segments, personalized automated alerts, editorial for B/R channels including the B/R Betting vertical, original content along with DraftKings daily fantasy sports stats, and betting odds.
“While this emerging industry continues to evolve, sports betting helps to drive engagement, increased time spent viewing and audience scale,” said Will Funk, Executive Vice President, Sports Partnerships and Branded Content, Turner Sports. “This alliance enhances Turner Sports’ content with betting information that our hyper-engaged, highly interactive viewers demand, while driving customer engagement and acquisition for DraftKings.”
Bleacher Report launched its most engaged digital sports media brand in sports betting the B/R Betting vertical in 2019 so that it could focus on producing content in and around legal sports betting. According to Sprinklr Data, since the launch it has consistently ranked high in engagement for a sports media brand.
