BOSTON – Live betting through DraftKings Sportsbooks has just gotten that much sweeter as they’ve sealed a partnership with Simplebet on Tuesday. The software and technology business will allow DraftKings to offer their users a whole new way to wager on sports through every play possible as it happens during a sporting event. Simplebet has a special type of “micro-betting” that will now be integrated into every platform that DraftKings has across the globe.
The Art Of The Deal
Regulated sports betting in the United States is becoming more and more embraced by lawmakers with states being added to the list annually. In most, if not all of these regulated markets, DraftKings holds a presence. This partnering will allow sports bettors to take advantage of the newest technology and get in on some very interesting wagers with their favorite sports.
“We’re excited to be working with Simplebet to change the in-game betting experience for our customers and, together, changing the way sports fans engage with their favorite sports,” said Paul Liberman, President, Global Product, and Technology at DraftKings. “Through our shared commitment to delivering innovative technology, our customers are now able to take part in this unique betting and engagement experience on the DraftKings Sportsbook.”
The very first bets that are likely to see action through this new multi-year deal is NFL betting, as it’s the biggest sport to see wagers. However, that is not the only sport that will be covered in this new way to gamble. The MLB, NHL, and NBA will also have this new technology applied to their bets. Collegiate sporting events in areas where it’s regulated will have the ability to “micro-bet” on their competitions as well.
Simplebet continues to make its products better as more funds flow into the company. Through this deal, they will grow their finances that much, more which will enable them to expand their product and offerings to gamblers that use DraftKings. It took $50 million for them to construct the platform they have now.
Sports Betting Just Got More Exciting With DraftKings
Micro-betting will soon be the new way to place live in-game bets and of course, a company as big as DraftKings has jumped on board. This newest addition can only add to a sports bettors’ experience as well as encourage others to join and begin betting on the games for the excitement it provides.
“We’re thrilled to be launching our real-money micro-betting products with DraftKings,” said Chris Bevilacqua, Co-Founder, and CEO of Simplebet. “These types of offerings represent the next evolution of sports betting and deliver enhanced opportunities for operators and fans alike. We look forward to the successful roll-out and to showcasing the excitement that comes with micro-betting.”
DraftKings users should be on the lookout for these new types of bets to be available on their mobile sportsbook applications presently.
