- Jason Tatum has +1200 odds to score 35+ points and for Boston to win.
- Jaylen Brown and Tobias Harris see +275 odds to combine for 50+ points.
PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia 76ers host the Boston Celtics and sportsbooks have several NBA specials bets for sports bettors.
Joel Embiid: Rebounding King
Starting with 76ers star center Joel Embiid, NBA betting fans can cash in big should he finish with a double-double and Philly gets the win.
NBA Requested Specials Odds
- Joel Embiid Double-Double/Philadelphia To Win +140
Embiid is averaging 27.1 points and 10.5 rebounds this season. Against the Celtics specifically, the big man is finishing with 27 points and 14 rebounds in the two games they played one another this season.
Embiid has also been on a tear recently with Philly. He is averaging 32.5 points and 9.7 rebounds in his last 10 games and the 76ers have gone 8-2 in that stretch.
Embiid has been on a rebounding slump so far this month, however, only finishing with a double-double in two of his last five games. In the previous two outings, Embiid finished with just six rebounds against the Charlotte Hornets and eight rebounds against the Houston Rockets.
The Hornets in particular are interesting because their starting center is Mason Plumlee who is averaging just seven rebounds a game and finished with only four rebounds in the Philly game. Embiid wasn’t simply outrebounded by a dominant big, he just didn’t get a lot of rebounds.
The Celtics also lack a solid rebounding big with their leading rebounder being Robert Williams III who only managed to finish with four rebounds the last time they faced Philly. Embiid should be able to finish with a double-double against the Celtics.
Can Tatum Have A Big Scoring Night?
Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum sees a big betting line for him to explode offensively and lead the Celtics to a win.
NBA Requested Specials Odds
- Jayson Tatum 35+ Pts/Boston Win +1200
Tatum is averaging 25.7 points this season which has jumped slightly to 26 points in his last 10 outings. Tatum also averages 26.7 points on the road.
Tatum also has five 35+ point games this season with one of those coming a few weeks back against the New York Knicks.
The reason legal betting sites have the odds set so high is likely due to Tatum averaging just 21.5 points against the 76ers this season.
In fact, the last time these teams faced one another the 76ers held Tatum to just 17 points on 35.7% shooting from the field and the Celtics lost this game 103-108.
This is a more difficult betting line to cash in than the Embiid one, but a big night from Tatum would see major returns.
Tip-off starts at 6 p.m. EST on NBC.
