Fanatics Launches Massachusetts Mobile Sportsbook App Beta

BOSTON– Fanatics Sportsbook launched a beta product of its mobile sportsbook app in Massachusetts for pre-existing customers. Any Massachusetts resident who has purchased merchandise from Fanatics will earn an invitation code to test their mobile sportsbook app before it launches officially.

Sports bettors who aren’t a customer of Fanatics can download their mobile sportsbook app but will be placed on a waitlist. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission unanimously approved an operations certificate to an essential company of Fanatics Sportsbook, taking it them one step closer to an official Massachusetts launch.

Fanatics Sportsbook’s legal sports betting expansion into Massachusetts, marks their third state including Ohio and Tennessee. Massachusetts is the first of many states that Fanatics Sportsbook plans to launch in following their acquisition of PointsBet US on May 14.

Fanatics Sportsbook plans to integrate the Massachusetts sports betting field through the success of Fanatics sports merchandise.

Massachusetts Sports Betting Landscape

DraftKings and FanDuel accounted for 80% of the April sports betting handle in Massachusetts, but Fanatics Sportsbook has a unique selling point that neither giant can compete with. The sportsbook will utilize the success of its sports merchandise company by offering “bonus points” with sports bets that can be used to purchase sports gear at Fanatics shop.

Bettors at Fanatics sportsbook can earn credits to purchase jerseys, hats, or other swag at the Fanatics store, giving them a great method to compete with Massachusetts sports betting giants.

April marked the second straight month with DraftKings taking in over $250 million in bets. Fanatics Sportsbook believes their unique strategy can compete with DraftKings in the Commonwealth.
