FanDuel and Caesars Expand International Betting Markets

FanDuel became the official sportsbook partner and the first authorized gaming operator of the Canadian Football League.
Caesars Sportsbook launched their mobile sports betting app in Puerto Rico, directly competing with Bet MGM as the only mobile sportsbooks available to Puerto Rican residents.

ONTARIO – Prominent American sportsbooks FanDuel and Caesars expanded their international sports betting presence with recent moves. FanDuel became the official sportsbook of the Canadian Football League and is recognized as the league’s first gaming operator.

The league is embracing legal sports betting in Canada, allowing Canadian football fans 19 years or older to place bets on the games.

FanDuel brings legal sports betting options such as player prop bets, anytime touchdown scorer bets, and the winner of Grey Cup to Canadian sports bettors.

Caesars Launches Mobile Sportsbook in Puerto Rico

Caesars Sportsbook officially launched their online and mobile sportsbook in Puerto Rico, supporting their retail sportsbook located at Casino Metro.

President of Caesars Digital Eric Hession said, “The launch of our mobile sports wagering platform is an excellent complement to the elevated experience we’ve provided customers at MetroBets with Caesars Sportsbook at Casino Metro.”

The General Manager of Casino Metro, Ishmael Vega, is excited about the mobile sportsbook launch, claiming that “The launch of this app brings our customers MetroBets with Caesars Sportsbook in the palm of their hands.

Vega added that “The user-friendly app allows customers to bet responsibly from any corner of the island, elevating the experience we offer with MetroBets. Since the grand opening of MetroBets with Caesars Sportsbook at Casino Metro, we’ve experienced an exciting uptick in customers.”

Caesars joins BetMGM as the only online sportsbooks offered in Puerto Rico, with both sportsbooks also offering retail options at casinos on the island. BetMGM launched their mobile app just a month ago.

Both major American sportsbooks have utilized legal sports betting in Puerto Rico that launched in February of 2022.
