- The Mohegan Sun Tribe in Connecticut has partnered with FanDuel.
- FanDuel will launch one of the three mobile sportsbooks in Connecticut.
- FanDuel daily fantasy sports will also be able to remain in CT with this deal.
HARTFORD, Conn. – The Mohegan Sun Tribe in Connecticut has now tasked FanDuel as its official mobile sports betting operation.
The local regulations allow for three total mobile sportsbooks in Connecticut. FanDuel has gained its market access with the Mohegan Sun, following DraftKings partnering with Mashantucket Pequot who also gained market access.
Another big benefit that comes from this FanDuel deal is that the daily fantasy sports (DFS) operations now have permanent market access in Connecticut. This was a concern for DFS operators once sports betting became regulated.

FanDuel already has a strong base in the Connecticut sports betting market due to its long-time DFS operation. The sports betting entity was granted a temporary license earlier in the month to allow them to continue operating while they work to gain a permanent deal with a local tribe.
That tribe ended up being the Mohegan Sun and now a FanDuel mobile sportsbook will launch in the Constitution State.
“We’re excited to work with FanDuel, one of the leading sports-tech entertainment companies in the U.S. to bring the brand’s innovative sports betting and iGaming solutions to Mohegan Sun Connecticut,” said Ray Pineault, President & CEO of Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment. “Our partnership is a priority for Mohegan Digital, as we look to grow and enhance our casino, sportsbook and online operations in Connecticut – and beyond. We’re confident that FanDuel will deliver a best-in-class digital and in-person experience for our loyal guests.”
With this market access, local Connecticut sports betting fans will see the full-service sportsbook FanDuel has to offer.
The sports betting entity will be able to operate throughout the entire state of Connecticut and power the retail sportsbook at Mohegan casinos.
“Mohegan Sun is an iconic casino and entertainment destination in the Northeast, and we are excited to announce our first tribal gaming partnership with one of the leading tribal operators in the United States,” said Amy Howe, President of FanDuel Group. “We have some incredible plans for the retail space at Mohegan Sun, with the potential to be the largest FanDuel Sportsbook in the United States. When we combine the retail sports betting experience with the opportunity for online sports betting and iGaming, Connecticut is going to be a key state for us as we look towards the start of football season.”
The sportsbook will officially open at the Mohegan Sun in September. This legal sports betting operation will be temporary, as the casino works to launch a sports betting lounge.
