INDIANAPOLIS – While FanDuel Sportsbook has been making most of the headlines since the repeal of PASPA in 2018, the company has gone back to their daily fantasy sports roots in their newest partnership with the Indianapolis Colts.
On Thursday, FanDuel announced that they will be the Official Fantasy Sports Partner of the Colts.
The deal will involve the company and the Colts organization to further engage Colts fans through the use of different marketing channels. This includes but is not limited to radio, TV, and digital advertising, in-stadium digital signage and in-game promotions.
“The Colts always are looking for new ways to engage with our fans, and fantasy sports have long been an avenue for fans to follow the Colts, pro football and their favorite players across the league,” said Colts Chief Sales & Marketing Officer Roger VanDerSnick.
“We’re very pleased to come together with FanDuel to make our fan experience the best it can be during the season and year-round.”
The partnership comes only a few weeks after rival DFS operator, DraftKings was named the official daily fantasy sports partner of the NFL.
However, FanDuel has had daily fantasy sports partnerships with NFL teams for years. In 2015, FanDuel signed deals with 15 different NFL franchises, including the Indianapolis Colts. No such agreements have been made between the Colts as far as legal sports betting, but the partnership still represents forward movement in the overall sports gaming market.
“As we continue to expand our nationwide footprint, we are always looking for ways to engage sports fans throughout the country, and specifically in the Midwest,” said CEO of FanDuel, Matt King.
“Indianapolis is home to a loyal fan base and we’re excited to again partner with the Colts organization allowing us to further reach these passionate fans.”
