FanDuel Partners with the Phoenix Suns

PHOENIX – Sports betting fans in Arizona will soon have their own regulated market as Governor Doug Ducey signed a sports betting bill into law. This has sportsbooks making deals to gain market access.

The newest addition to the list is FanDuel, which has become the official sports betting partner of the Phoenix Suns.

FanDuel will promote Suns games and gain marketing rights to team marks and other promotional material. The real win for FanDuel, however, is immediate access to the soon-to-launch Arizona sports betting market.

FanDuel Meets Arizona

FanDuel will now work with the Phoenix Suns, seeing the sportsbooks brand promoted during Suns events and seeing major marketing surrounding Suns team members with FanDuel betting lines and daily fantasy sports events.

The partnership will allow FanDuel to launch its mobile sportsbook in Arizona as soon as the market is given the green light by state regulators. FanDuel is also working to launch a retail sportsbook inside the Phoenix Suns Arena.

HB 2772 allows for both retail and online sports betting in Arizona. FanDuel is one of the biggest sportsbooks in the country for both mobile betting brick and mortar venues.

Arizona is prime real estate for FanDuel. Its proximity to California and Utah, which has yet to launch sports betting, will surely see a lot of tourism during sports seasons with betting fans looking to get in on the action.

This FanDuel partnership is a part of a major expansion in Arizona. Following Governor Ducey signed the sports betting bill  Arizona properties are beginning to work with sportsbooks to help bring them to the new market.

DraftKings sportsbook is set to launch a retail sportsbook in Arizona after partnering with the PGA Tour. State-regulated sportsbooks are expected to hit the ground running as soon as they launch in the Grand Canyon State.
