TAMPA BAY, Fla. – Super Bowl LV is slowly approaching and sports bettors are already placing heavy action at popular sportsbooks.
These sportsbooks have released the numbers and shown how much early Super Bowl action is being placed on each team.
The Kansas City Chiefs are the favorite to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but many longshot bettors are leaning in favor of the Tom Brady run Bucs as well.

The defending champions are collecting the most wagers at legal sports betting sites as Super Bowl bettors are expecting a repeat.
The Chiefs are only favored by a field goal, however, but most bettors have been taking the Chiefs to cover the spread.
In the first 24 hours of the betting line being posted, NFL bettors wagered $120,000 on the Chiefs -3 at Caesars Sportsbook powered by William Hill.
DraftKings saw similar attention on Kansas City with 77% of the point spread wagers betting on the defending champions and 78% of the total betting handle wagered on the Chiefs.
The SuperBook at Westgate Las Vegas initially opened with the Chiefs -3.5. The spread eventually shifted down to -3 like other major sportsbooks.
SuperBook also saw the trend leading up to the Super Bowl of bettors leaning in on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during their playoff run.
“Three weeks in a row now, where we opened up one of these Buccaneers games, the sharp guys just flooded us with Buccaneers bets,” said John Murray, executive director of the SuperBook.
While the Chiefs are seeing the bulk of the action, there are still Super Bowl 55 bettors who are taking the long odds on the Buccaneers to pull the upset.
Underdog Betting
Tampa Bay were the underdogs in all but one of their playoff games this postseason and those who bet on the Buccaneers have seen major wins on their wagers.
As the Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event in the country every year, sports bettors are wagering in droves.
Underdog Super Bowl betting is a big way to cash in for the Big Game. The odds on the Buccaneers at several key online sportsbooks all will turn a major profit for sports bettors, should Tom Brady and the Bucs make history this year.
Buccaneers Odds
- Buccaneers Odds Bovada: +150
- Buccaneers Odds BetOnline: +155
- Buccaneers Odds MyBookie: +140
Getting in on these odds early is a great way for Super Bowl bettors to cash in. The odds may shorten closer to the game, and with only a few days before kickoff, wagering now may be the best move for longshot bettors.
Betting odds for the Super Bowl are expected to fluctuate as more sharp money comes in on the Bucs.
