Francis Ngannou Vs. Cyril Gane Odds Show Near Pick ‘Em

ANAHEIM, Calif. – UFC 270 is set to be headlined by Francis Ngannou and Cyril Gane as the two fight to unify the belts in the heavyweight division.

Ngannou Vs. Gane Moneyline Odds

There’s a lot of controversy on Ngannou’s future with the UFC following this fight, but even legal sports betting sites are confused when it comes to picking a winner in the fight itself. The odds slightly favor Gane but by the slimmest of margins.

Gane enters the fight as an undefeated 10-0 in his career and as the interim heavyweight champion. Ngannou will take the ring with a 16-3 record and as the hardest-hitting heavyweight in the UFC. The story of the fight will be Ngannou’s power against Gane’s speed and technicality.

Which Fighter Will Win?

It’s tough to bet against Ngannou given his power, but he seems to rely on the power so much that all Gane would need to do is fight smart and avoid getting hit by the big shot. Obviously, that’s easier said than done, but Gane has been able to do so in previous fights.

Those betting on the UFC should note Gane has beaten other power punchers like Derrick Lewis and Jairzinho Rozenstruik on his road to the title, and did so quite convincingly each time. He lands 57% of his total strikes which may prove troublesome for Ngannou who has just a 45% striking defense.

Although Ngannou only lands 41% of his total strikes thrown, he’s similar to Deontay Wilder where only one punch is needed to end a fight.

It’s very much an oversimplification of the fight, but Ngannou needs a knockout to win while Gane can very easily win the decision if he’s able to avoid the big punches.
