GiG Is Adding Virtual Sports Betting To Its Menu

• GiG will offer virtual sports betting on football, basketball, and even velodrome.
• Virtual sports include instant horse racing and greyhound racing.

SAINT JULIAN’S, Malta. – The Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) is now adding new virtual sports betting opportunities to their menu. This is thanks to their partnership with 1X2 Network.

Virtual Sports Betting With GiG

Anyone partnering with GiG will soon have access to virtual sports betting. Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, virtual sports betting has become increasingly popular. Many sportsbooks are offering bets on virtual football and basketball matches.

Offering virtual sports bets is to make up for the lack of legal sports betting right now. Nearly all sports leagues around the world have suspended play, leaving sportsbooks high and dry for content. Many sportsbooks are picking up both virtual betting and esports betting to make up for the loss of revenue.

Making a deal with 1X2 Network allows GiG to be more active during the coronavirus pandemic. GiG has chosen to partner with 1X2 for a couple of different reasons.

“Partnering with 1X2 Network allows us to offer a quality virtual sports portfolio with realistic 3D games for some of the most popular on-demand sports betting games. This allows operators to increase their offering placing them at the forefront of sports betting,” said Chris Armes, GiG chief information officer.

GiG will now offer a couple of different virtual sports betting opportunities for customers and operators. For example, instant horse racing will now be available through GiG. Instant horse races allow for virtual horse races to take place almost immediately, giving bettors quick opportunities to bet.

Virtual greyhound races are available as well. Not only that, but bettors can also bet on virtual velodrome matches as well. Velodrome is an indoors bike race with a 180-degree track. The walls are often slanted, which makes velodrome races high speed and paced matches.

Although GiG virtual sports betting offerings are mostly races, they will offer other sports as well.
