- Gun Lake Casino plans to open their sports betting venue “Stage 131 Sportsbook and Lounge” on Saturday at 10 a.m.
- The new Michigan sportsbook will be powered in part by Parx Casino.
- The Gun Lake Casino sportsbook will feature self-service sports betting kiosks for patrons to use.
WAYLAND, Mich. – A new Michigan sportsbook is set to open this weekend at Gun Lake Casino in Wayland, MI. The venue will be the 10th sportsbook in Michigan to open since March and comes in time to capitalize on the current football season.
“After much planning, we are thrilled to announce the official opening of Gun Lake Casino’s sportsbook will take place on Saturday, October 3 at 10 a.m. Our dedication to provide an exceptional sports betting experience stems from our continued reputation of top quality entertainment,” said Jose Flores, vice president and general manager of Gun Lake Casino. “We have worked diligently to create a comfortable and exciting atmosphere within Stage 131 Sportsbook and Lounge for all guests interested in sports betting.”
The venue, named Stage 131 Sportsbook, comes through a partnership made by Gun Lake Casino and Park Casino all the way back in March.

The sports betting area is what many Michigan sports bettors have become accustomed to. There are dozens of televisions, plenty of seating, food and drink available, and self-service betting kiosks for gamblers to place their wagers.
There will also be staff on hand to help out anyone in the area who is new to sports betting.
“West Michigan will now have access to the best sports betting experience possible. Stage 131 Sportsbook and Lounge is fully staffed with sportsbook writers to support guests who are new to this entertainment option, welcoming all levels of experience to join in on the fun,” said Jose Flores.
For now, legal sports betting provided by Gun Lake Casino will have to be done at the property. Online sportsbooks in Michigan have yet to be approved.
Gun Lake Casino is located off of Exit 61 when driving on U.S. highway 131. The venue is located between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo for reference.
