IGT, NBA Sign New Partnership Deal For Legal Sports Betting

• IGT and NBA have struck a deal to bring official league data to all of it US sportsbooks and casinos.
• The sports betting provider has 40 locations around the country that will now receive the official NBA information because of this deal.
• The next NBA season will be returning soon starting in late December or early January.

LONDON – International Game Technology (IGT) announced on Thursday that it has signed a multi-year agreement with the National Basketball Association (NBA) to bring official data to the PlaySports sports betting platform.

Through this partnership, IGT sports betting operators in the US will be able to use the intelligent property of the NBA including official data as well as league and team logos in their sportsbooks.

IGT has sports betting platforms that are launched in 40 different locations in 14 states with 10 of those locations in Nevada and all of the platforms have collectively processed over two billion wagers to date.

The company has become the first US business-to-business legal sports betting platform provider to offer official NBA marks, logos, and data to its sportsbooks and regional casinos.

The NBA season has just ended on Sunday with the Los Angeles Lakers taking the championship after a season disturbed by a huge delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. NBA bettors will be happy to know that the league will have a quick turnaround for the next season and looks to start the 2020-21 NBA season around late December or early January.
