- International Game Technology (IGT) and its PlaySports product have made its way to Oregon.
- The Mill Casino has chosen PlaySports as its provider for all of their facility’s sports betting needs.
- Self-service kiosks will make up the bulk of how customers will be able to wager on sports at the casino.
SOUTH BEND, Ore. – The Coquille Indian Tribe will now have sports betting at their facility, The Mill Casino, as IGT PlaySports is now offered at the Oregon casino. The venue is located in the South Bend area of the state.
The Oregon Lottery was the sole provider of such services statewide with their SBTech sports wagering app. But now the residents of Oregon are not confined to bet on sporting events with just the use of the lottery app. Oregonians will be able to go to either The Mill Casino or Chinook Winds, the only other retail location providing sports betting services in the state for all of their sports wagering needs. Both of these locations are tribal casinos.
IGT PlaySports At The Mill Casino
IGT PlaySports kiosks will be available inside The Mill Casino, with patrons also having the option of placing wagers with the cashier. The kiosks will remain open from 8 a.m. – 2 a.m. daily for bettors to put their bets in at their leisure. These kiosks are located near the cashier and outside of Warehouse 101. Sports matches that can be wagered on include the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, boxing, and much more.
“We are extremely pleased to be the only casino in Southern Oregon to provide our guests access to the excitement of sports betting through IGT’s PlaySports technology,” said Terri Porcaro, CEO of The Mill Casino. “This new option perfectly complements our slots and table games offering and gives our customers even more reasons to visit our waterfront destination.”
Oregon marks the 11th state that enables IGT technology for their sports betting needs. Other states with IGT are Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and West Virginia.
“Enabling The Mill Casino in Oregon to offer world-class sports betting experiences is another important milestone in the expansion of IGT’s position in the U.S. sports betting market,” said Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital Senior Vice President. “The solution’s market-readiness and proven capacity to seamlessly process high volumes of bets across devices and channels continues to differentiate IGT PlaySports in the market and has helped fuel its expansion into 11 U.S. states.”
With this new addition, the people of southern Oregon now have a place to go and bet on different sporting events. This partnership comes just in time for residents to still be able to wager on the NFL season as well as the Super Bowl in February.
