- Florida sports betting will relaunch at retail locations on Dec. 7, according to the Seminole Tribe.
- The Seminole Tribe didn’t mention anything about a potential online sports betting launch date.
- Craps and roulette will also go live on Dec. 7 in tribal casinos.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Seminole Tribe stated in a press release that they will launch in-person sports betting at their three casinos on Dec. 7. There isn’t a set date for the Seminoles’ Hard Rock Bet app to launch for online sports betting.
Most people waiting for legal Florida sports betting are more focused on the online portion. Still, the announcement is a huge win considering the long legal battle to get here.
“The Seminole Tribe thanks the State of Florida, the U.S. Department of the Interior and the U.S. Department of Justice for defending our Compact. By working together, the Tribe, the State and the federal government achieved a historic legal victory,” said Marcellus Osceola Jr., Chairman of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, in Wednesday’s release.
The U.S. Supreme Court decided not to block the 2021 Gaming Compact on Oct. 25, giving the Seminole Tribe the green light to relaunch sports betting. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Seminole Classic Casino in Hollywood and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek will host retail sports betting, craps, and roulette starting Dec. 7.
When Will Florida Launch Online Sports Betting?
Everyone wants to know when legal online sportsbooks are going to launch in Florida. According to Fox 640 talk show host Andy Slater, the Hard Rock Bet app will launch sometime in November.
SLATER SCOOP: Sports betting in Florida will begin on the @HardRockBet app within the next 2-3 weeks, sources tell me.
The Seminole Tribe of Florida announced they’ll be opening in-person sportsbooks and craps/roulette tables on Dec. 7.
The mobile app will launch before then.

The Seminole Tribe hasn’t confirmed nor denied Slater’s claim from Wednesday morning. With the main conflict over Florida sports betting being the online portion, it would be surprising if the Seminoles launched online sports betting with challenges in the Florida Supreme Court.
It’s been over two years since Florida’s gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe was thrown out. That decision was challenged in June, and now legal sports betting in Florida nears the finish line before the end of 2023.
