INDIANAPOLIS – The regulated Indiana sports betting market finished the month of March on a strong note after Indiana sportsbooks handled more than $476 million in sports bets, many of which came from March Madness betting.

This is an undeniable display of the massive popularity surge that sports betting has seen in Indiana, as sportsbooks boasted a 50.5% increase in their March sports betting handle year-over-year.

The majority of the bets placed in March went towards Basketball according to the latest report from the Indiana Gaming Commission, as Indiana residents went all in on March Madness betting.

Indiana sportsbooks generated more than $32.2 million in March sports betting revenue, divided amongst the active sportsbooks.
This is 22.4% increase year-over-year from the $25.3 million worth of revenue generated in March 2021.
