Jordan Love Passing Yard Total Looks Favorable Against Chiefs

• Jordan Love will make his first career start in Week 9 with a passing total set at 232.5 yards.

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Jordan Love is set to make his first career start for the Green Bay Packers in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs. This comes after Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 while being unvaccinated which has forced him out.

That being said, legal online betting sites have odds on his passing yard total for the game and he could not have asked for a better matchup than the Chiefs.

The Chiefs are allowing the eighth-most passing yards per game with 269.8 yards allowed. The Chiefs have been allowing quarterbacks to hit Over 232.5 all season with six of eight QBs hitting the mark and Jordan Love is expected to cash the Over NFL odds.

The quarterbacks that have gone over include Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, and Ryan Tannehill. What they all have in common when facing the Chiefs though is that they all target the right side of the field.

When throwing to the right, Mayfield saw 13 of his 21 completions, Herbert saw 13 of 26 completions, Hurts had 19 of 32 completions, and Allen went 7 for 15 with two of his three longest passes to the right.

If the Packers’ offense is to plug in Love to the same game script that Aaron Rodgers plays, it backs his case for the Over even more. Rodgers has hit the Over in five of eight games this season.

All in all, with arguably the best receiver in the league in Davante Adams on the field with him, and predominantly on the right side, Love should be able to build chemistry with him quickly.
