- Mike Evans prop bets increased by five to eight yards (depending on the sportsbook) after Baker Mayfield’s comments about Evans’ 1000-yard streak.
- Props were taken off the board for a while but sportsbooks now list Evans at 80.5 yards against Dallas on Sunday Night Football.
TAMPA, Fla. – Recent quotes from Baker Mayfield suggest that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback will try his hardest to get Mike Evans involved more to end the season.
To average 83.67 yards per game over the next three would put Evans at 1,000 receiving yards – a mark he’s hit every year.
When asked about Evans’ streak, Baker replied: “I’m thinking about it more than Mike is.”
With this, NFL sportsbooks have been hesitant to release Mike Evans prop bets for SNF. While some pulled the lines, others moved his receiving total up a half-dozen or so yards.
Now at 80.5 yards, this is a number Evans has hit only three times this season. However, two of those happened over the last three weeks.
Also slated for 5.5 receptions at legal sports betting sites, he’s only hit this mark in the same three games his yardage was 81+.
Betting On Mike Evans
Playing the Dallas Cowboys only six times in his career, Evans hasn’t played them since a 2022 playoff game (read: January 2023), where he recorded six catches for 74 yards.
Before that was the 2022 Week 1 opener (5 catches for 71 yards), proving sportsbooks are right on.
But does Baker’s comment help or hurt Evans bettors? Those crazy enough can even take an alternate line to increase or decrease the challenge/payout.
