LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The BetAmerica mobile and land-based sportsbook are getting a major upgrade thanks to the partnership between Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) and Kambi Group PLC.

The partnership makes Kambi Group the sportsbook technology and services provider and will push the BetAmerica brand to newer heights.

BetAmerica will now offer Kambi Group’s industry-leading sports betting experiences for both new and existing sports betting patrons.

Kambi Meets CDI

The partnership will also see CDI’s team up with GAN Limited to power the iGaming product. This will further enhance the BetAmerica experience for new and existing players.

“We believe the transition to GAN and Kambi as our new technology providers will enable our team to execute the rollout of BetAmerica sportsbooks and iGaming product offering more efficiently as states move to legalize and implement regulations permitting sports betting and iGaming in the coming years,” said Bill Carstanjen, CEO of CDI. “BetAmerica will benefit from the proven excellence of these market-leading providers.”

All three companies have expressed their excitement for the future of their partnership. The legal sports betting product that is to come will be of benefit to all involved.

“We look forward to powering the BetAmerica brand with our highly optimized technology platform and enabling CDI to efficiently invest their marketing capital to attract loyal sports betting and iGaming players,” said Dermot S. Smurfit, CEO of GAN.

With the Kambi and GAN software powering the sportsbook, BetAmerica will be able to leverage its sports betting offering and integrated gaming platform to expand in the market.

Kambi has a proven sportsbook provision that many in the industry rely on. This new partnership is expected to have just a slightly positive impact on Kambi’s overall 2020 revenue.

Even so, the partnership has the potential to become a core source of revenue for the company in the years to come.

“It’s a pleasure for Kambi to be partnering with CDI and its BetAmerica brand, which has the potential to benefit from its market access and existing customer database,” said Kristian Nylén, CEO of Kambi. “I’m certain with the quality and experience we possess, together with the BetAmerica leadership team, we will be able to grow our businesses together as the U.S. sports betting and iGaming market expands.”

The BetAmerica sportsbook is currently operational in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, and New Jersey.
