Details Of The Partnership
Through this new partnership, Kambi will be operating both the retail and the mobile sportsbooks for Four Winds.
The retail sportsbooks should be available later this year, however, the coronavirus pandemic could delay the launch. The pandemic has shut down all casinos across the country to prevent the spread of the virus.
Until casinos in Michigan are allowed to reopen again, sports betting will not happen at the Four Winds casino.
Kambi will provide legal sports betting for retail and mobile operations at Four Winds Casino. That in itself has brought a lot of excitement to the owners of Four Winds.
“We are excited to partner with Kambi to bring sports betting to Four Winds Casinos and take the gaming experience we offer guests to the next level. We look forward to announcing the details of the sports betting options we will offer at our Michigan locations in the near future,” said Frank Kennedy, senior vice president of Four Winds Casinos.
Although they are excited to announce more, Michigan sports bettors should not expect a mobile sportsbook anytime soon.
When sports betting in Michigan was first legalized, it brought along mobile sports betting.
However, due to the legal processes, no mobile sports betting can actually begin in the state until early 2021. Due to that, Kambi and Four Winds cannot launch their mobile sportsbook until Q1 2021.
Either way, Kambi now has a foothold in Michigan thanks to their new partnership with Four Winds Casinos. Michigan sports bettors will now have more options available to them once sportsbooks and casinos resume normal operations.
