LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky Derby is less than a week away and there are plenty more odds than betting on the outright winner. While Epicenter and Zandon are the top two favorites to win outright, they offer tremendous value at other places on the odds board.

Finding Value Between Exacta And Quinella Odds
The difference between Exacta and Quinella odds on legal sports betting sites is that when betting on exacta odds, the outcome of the race must happen in a specific order whereas, on quinella odds, the outcome can be in any order.
The two favored horses to win outright, Epicenter and Zandon, have quinella odds of +750 and exacta odds of +1400 if Epicenter were to finish first and +1600 if Zandon were to finish first of the two.
When betting on these Kentucky Derby odds, it would be more beneficial to take the two exacta odds rather than the quinella ones. A $100 bet on the quinella odds for Epicenter and Zandon would pay out $750.
However, the exacta odds for Epicenter and Zandon to finish in that order would payout $1,400 whereas a Zandon/Epicenter exact finish would profit $1,600.
Taking the two exacta odds would profit at least $1,300 after accounting for the $100 loss on the other bet making them way more valuable.
Value Betting On Tricast Odds
Tricast odds are similar to quinella odds in terms of the horses being able to finish in any order, however, these are between three horses instead of two. Getting into the six shortest odds, profit can be made betting on all of them. Both Epicenter and Zandon are in each of those odds.
Tied for the shortest odds at +1400 are Epicenter and Zandon with both Taiba and Messier. At +2000, Mo Donegal is the third horse. With +2200, Charger It and White Abarrio are the third horses, and at +3300, Smile Happy rounds out the three.
Betting $100 on all six of these options could profit anywhere between $900 and $2,800 after accounting for the $500 wagered on the other five options.
