Kindred Gains Market Access In Virginia To Launch Unibet

• The Virginia Lottery has granted Kindred Group market access in Virginia.
• This allows Kindred Group’s Unibet sportsbook to launch.
• Unibet will be a stand-alone mobile sportsbook in the state.

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia sports betting fans will soon have access to a new mobile sportsbook in the market as Unibet is set to launch.

Kindred Group, the parent company of Unibet, was granted a direct market access mobile sports betting permit by the Virginia Lottery, allowing it to operate in the Old Dominion.

The Virginia sports betting market allows for up to seven mobile-only operations to function in the state, Kindred has claimed one of those licenses.

Unibet Meets Virginia

Unibet is a leading sports betting operation in the country and Virginia residents will be soon able to see why. The full set of odds and betting lines, powered by Kindred Group will be fully available to all betting fans in Virginia.

“We are excited to add Virginia to the growing list of states that Unibet and Kindred Group call home as we continue our expansion in the US market,” said Manuel Stan, SVP US, Kindred Group. “Our aim is to go live shortly and we expect that the success we have seen in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Indiana will of course follow in Virginia.”

No official launch date has been set for the official launch of Unibet, but local betting fans shouldn’t be waiting too much longer.

Unibet will be joining a pool of prominent mobile sports betting operations, including FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, William Hill, and BetRivers.

The competition will be stiff to claim a strong foothold in the market, but Kindred Group expects local Virginia betting fans to embrace Unibet, excited for the eventual launch.

Virginia has seen that its legal sports betting market has already been a success, which is why lawmakers voted to expand for more sportsbooks.
