Best Bets: Lamar Jackson Rushing, Passing Props

BALTIMORE – The Baltimore Ravens are going up against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7 where the Ravens are heavy -280 favorites on the moneyline with sportsbooks.

While money can certainly be made betting on the Ravens to win, there are better opportunities for this matchup by wagering on different player props. More specifically, legal online betting sites have lines for QB Lamar Jackson’s passing and rushing player props.

Lamar Jackson’s Passing Total

Lamar Jackson has been a man on a mission this season having thrown for 1,686 yards and averaging 281 yards per game. The fact that he is averaging more than his total on the season should have many flocking toward the OVER before the line potentially shifts.

The Bengals have gone 3-3 in allowing opposing quarterbacks to hit the OVER this season and are allowing quarterbacks to throw for 240.5 yards per game. The three quarterbacks that went OVER 233.5 against the Bengals were Kirk Cousins, Ben Roethlisberger, and Aaron Rodgers. What these three athletes have in common is that they all attacked the right side of the Bengals secondary.

Each of these players saw more than 50% of their completed passes happen on the left side of the field. Jackson is also coming off of a game where he completed 9/19 passes to the left side of the field. Knowing this, Lamar should be able to hit the OVER on this wager by targeting the left side of the field.

Lamar Jackson’s Rushing Total

There is no doubt that Jackson is the best dual-threat quarterback in the NFL today and betting on his rushing yard total has been profitable all year. This 60.5-yard total is his lowest rushing total of the season and he has gone over this mark three times this season. He is averaging 65.3 rushing yards per game this year.

For Jackson to get the best opportunity at hitting the OVER NFL odds, he would need to run to the left side of the field. Trey Hendrickson, one of the best right defensive ends in the league, is questionable for the game. If he is out, it loosens up the pressure from the left.

Also, opposing running backs have been attacking the left side of the Bengals all season. Players like Dalvin Cook, James Robinson, and Najee Harris all had their longest runs when going to the left.
